This 5-piece matryoshka nesting doll set is hand-painted in a traditional folk style centered around a samovar tea scene. The largest doll features a woman in a blue headscarf holding a yellow samovar against a red floral apron. The surrounding dolls show figures in green, light blue, and red scarves, each with simple geometric clothing patterns and warm, naïve facial expressions. Earthy reds, greens, and blues dominate the palette, giving the set a rustic, village character. All five wooden dolls nest smoothly inside the 17 cm outer figure.

Opening and caring for your dolls
Hold the top and bottom halves in both hands and twist gently along the seam instead of pulling straight up. Keep the set away from damp rooms and radiators, and dust it with a dry cloth.

Every set is painted freehand, so the flowers, the face and the grain differ a little from one to the next. The photograph shows the pattern and the colours, not the exact set you will receive.
A new set can feel tight
The halves are cut to grip. Twist gently along the seam rather than pulling, and if it stays stiff, a little dry wax on the bare inner rim sorts it out.
It arrives packed for the journey
Tissue between the halves, a sealed sleeve against damp, bubble wrap, and a double-walled box. Shipping is included and insured, and you get a tracking number when it leaves.
